Steve is the COO of GFC. He has over 30 years of alternative investments experience in the areas of operations, portfolio management, research, trading, due diligence, risk management, asset allocation, compliance, and marketing.

Steve previously served as President of Fifth Rock Fund Development, LLC, was Chief Investment Officer for Synergy Capital Management, LLC, COO and Portfolio Risk Manager for Mission Advisors’ energy-focused hedge fund, and cofounder and Chief Investment Officer for Trail Ridge Capital, LLC.

Steve earned an MA in Economics from the University of Washington, an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, and a BA in Chemistry from Earlham College. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
